Mr. Bubblehead describes his brand of electronic dance music as being “heavy metal dance music,” and whether or not that’s true can depend on a matter of taste but what I can say is that through his debut EP, Burger and Fries is some high energy stuff – if it doesn’t make you want to bounce around like an idiot, you’re probably dead. I think the highlight of the EP is the “Crush You” featuring Nastee. To me it sounds quite a bit like Timbaland produced Missy Elliot, mixed with some Miami Horror, and given a generous dose of anabolic steroids. The “Crush You (Remix)” is a bit of modern techno – backed with a horn section for the verses, there are just gigantic room, shaking beats that hold the song together.
