Produced by Deerhoof’s Greg Saunier and recorded in downtown Manhattan’s Clocktower Gallery, People Get Ready’s forthcoming new album, Physiques began as collection of incomplete song sketches that developed as fully fleshed songs through improvisation, revision and on occasion through accident. In fact, album title track “Physiques” manages to further cement the band’s reputation for crafting songs that manage to be both pop-orientated and yet trance-like and slow-burning while possessing an irresistible groove. 

The official video for the song has a man dancing through some beautiful and surreal situations – with the song’s slow burning groove, it seems as though the man is possessed by the groove.
