Yasiin Bey (f.k.a Mos Def) is one of my favorite emcees. And often when racism is just too much, I find myself turning to Black on Both Sides for comfort. (I want all black people to be free/to be free/to be free . . .)
Yasiin Bey turns 48 today. And I wanted to celebrate one of the greatest living emcee’s today. Happy birthday, brother! May there be many, many more.
