Today is one of many rather auspicious days in music history:
- Tom Petty, one of rock’s greatest singer/songwriters was born 73 years ago today.
- Snoop Dogg, one of the greatest and most original emcees to ever do it was born 52 years ago today. Much like Petty, if you didn’t like or appreciate Snoop Dogg, I’ve long thought there had to be something deeply wrong with you.
