Ol’ Dirty Bastard, one of hop-hop’s most unique, unpredictable characters wildly original artists was born 55 years ago today. Tragically, we lost him a just a few days before what would have been his 36th birthday. I often have a sense of “what if” with him and his career, wondering what he would have been up to musically if had lived past his 40th birthday.
Still his work both as a solo artist and with the Wu-Tang Clan will stand up to the test of time. So let’s celebrate his work and life today, eh?
