At this point, we’ve made it through about 90% of the year. It’s been a brutal soul-sucking slog of a year hasn’t it? But the show must go on as they say.
So, November is a busy month of music birthdays.
- Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ frontman Anthony Kiedis celebrated his 63rd birthday on November 1

- Mobb Deep’s Prodigy was born 51 years ago on November 2
- ONYX’s Sticky Fingaz celebrated his 52nd birthday on November 3
- Radiohead‘s and The Smile‘s Jonny Greenwood celebrated his 54th birthday on November 5
- Bryan Adams celebrated his 66th birthday on November 5
- The Screaming Eagle of Soul, Charles Bradley was born 77 years ago on November 5
- Living Colour‘s powerhouse frontman Corey Glover celebrated his 61st birthday on November 6
- Bad Religion frontman Dr. Greg Graffin celebrated his 61st birthday on November 6

Scarface, one of my favorite rappers ever celebrates his 55th — yes, 55th! — birthday today. Whether as a member of Geto Boys or as a solo artist has released some of the most psychological precise, at times deeply vulnerable yet hardest hitting songs ever recorded.
Happy birthday, brother! May there be many, many more!

The Joy of Violent Movement is a completely independent and completely D.I.Y. media outlet. Over the course of this site’s 15+ year history, I’ve used my fiercely independent stance to cover music with an eclectic and global perspective that a lot of other publications just don’t have — and will likely never have.
To that end, I could use your support to continue to keep bringing you my unique global perspective on music. There are a number of ways that you can support this work.
I’ve been told that some people would prefer to make a one-time donation because it’s easy and less of an obligation. So, if you’re able to make a one-time donation, there’s a donation box below.
