As a child of the 80s, I really came of age in the 90s. And unsurprisingly, I loved the Seattle/grunge sound: Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden were among my favorite bands of my teenage years. I still love those bands all of these years later, but Soundgarden has been a band that I’ve continued to play because they were exceptional and unlike no other.
Today Soundgarden’s and Audioslave‘s Chris Cornell would have turned 58. I wanted to celebrate Cornell’s life and music — particularly, his work with Soundgarden, which I loved so very much.
Happy birthday, Chris! Happy birthday, wherever you are!
