At this point, we’ve made it through about 90% of the year. It’s been a brutal soul-sucking slog of a year hasn’t it? But the show must go on as they say.

- The Screaming Eagle of Soul, Charles Bradley was born 77 years ago on November 5
- Living Colour‘s powerhouse frontman Corey Glover celebrated his 61st birthday on November 6
- Bad Religion frontman Dr. Greg Graffin celebrated his 61st birthday on November 6
- The Eagles‘ Glenn Frey was born 77 years ago on November 6
- The incomparable and legendary Joni Mitchell celebrated her 82nd birthday on November 7
- Bonnie Raiit celebrated her 76th birthday on November 8

As a lifelong music obsessive — and as a hip hop head, the Beastie Boys meant a lot to me. And if you’re a child of the 80s as I am, you listened to — and loved, a lot of Beastie Boys songs and albums.
Mike D. celebrates his 60th — yes, y’all, 60th! — birthday today. So let’s celebrate Mike D’s life and legendary work today. Happy birthday, man! May there be many, many more!
