• The 60th anniversary of Biz Markie‘s birth was on April 7
• The 77th anniversary of Kraftwerk co-founder Florian Schneider was on April 7
• A Tribe Called Quest‘s Q-Tip one of hip-hop’s greatest emcees and producers celebrated his 54th birthday on April 10
• The legendary and pioneering Herbie Hancock celebrates his 84th birthday today.

Echo & The Bunnymen‘s Will Sergeant celebrates his 66th birthday today. Sergeant is one of the co-founders of the pioneering post-punk outfit — and one of the band’s few consistent members over the years. Along with being behind some really incredible songs, he’s the architect of some of the most gorgeous guitar sounds I’ve ever heard.
