February is a very busy month. It’s Black History Month, which I’ll continue to celebrate throughout the month. And there are of course, several important birthdays that coincide and will be celebrating, as well.
In terms of birthdays:
- Big Boi celebrated his 50th — yes, 50th y’all! — birthday on February 1
- Rick James was born 77 years ago on February 1
- Stan Getz was born on this day 98 years ago
The legendary Graham Nash, known for his work with Crosby Stills and Nash, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Hollies and as a solo artist, celebrates his 83rd birthday today.
Nash is a songwriter’s songwriter, who’s been a part of some of the most indelible, important and beloved songs ever written or recorded. So let’s celebrate the man and his work today, eh?
