- Paul McCartney celebrated his 81st birthday on June 18
- Cyndi Lauper celebrated her 70th birthday on June 22
The legendary June Carter Cash was born 94 years ago today. Her importance and influence on country music has been towering: The Carters pioneered what we know as country, and were among the most popular acts, thanks to their syndicated radio program. And as a result, The Carters’ — and in turn, June Carter Cash’s — on the genre has been towering.
