As a child of the ’80s, and as a native New Yorker. the Beastie Boys were an important part of my life’s soundtrack. Yesterday, the trio’s Ad Rock celebrated his 56th birthday. So I wanted to belatedly wish Ad Rock a very happy birthday — while celebrating music that has meant a lot to me, and probably to you, too.
Happy birthday, sir! May there be many, many more!
