Thin Lizzy frontman and overall pioneer, Phil Lynott was born 75 years ago on August 20. Thin Lizzy was one of the hardest bands of their day — and were quietly influential: Metallica even covered Thin Lizzy’s “Whiskey in the Jar” on their Garage, Inc. cover album.
Tragically, we lost Phil 38 years ago at the all too young age of 36. But the music still kick ass.
