Last year, The Governor’s Ball celebrated its 15th anniversary with yet another critically acclaimed edition. Today, festival organizers announced that the festival’s 16th edition will take place yet again in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park from June 5, 2026 – June 7, 2026. More than 60 artists will play on three stages during the festival’s three day run, which also serves as the unofficial kick off to summer in NYC.
Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is easily accessible by public transportation with the 7 train and Long Island Railroad (LIRR) providing the most direct service to the park.
Coinciding with New York Music Month, the festival’s 16th edition will be headlined by Lorde, who played at Gov Ball back in 2017, but returns as a headliner for the first time; global K-pop superstars Stray Kids, whose explosive live shows have led to sold-out stadiums worldwide; and Harlem-born and bred returning headliner A$AP Rocky. The lineup will be rounded out by Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, Jennie, Katseye, Geese, Major Lazer, Pierce the Veil, Dominic Fike, Blood Orange, Clipse, Mariah The Scientist, Wet Leg, Amyl and The Sniffers, Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, The Dare, 2hollis, Rayvn Lenae and many more.
2026’s lineup also highlights an eclectic array of local talent, including Geese, The Dare, Del Water Gap, Arcy Drive, Lexa Gates, The Backfires and Chanpan, as well as School of Rock Queens, School of Rock New York and Kids Rock for Kids. This underscores the festival’s continued commitment to showcasing teh city’s vibrant music community.
Fans can sign up for the SMS Presale, which will take place Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 10:00am-11:00am ET. This is the only way to guarantee getting tickets at the lowest price. You can sign up here for a presale passcode to secure your spot at this year’s Gov Ball. All ticket prices will increase on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:00am when the Public On-Sale begins. Along with these announcements, festival organizers announce the return of physical wristbands.
The 2026 edition will yet again offer PIT VIEWING 3-Day and 1-Day ticket types. This ticket offers the same amenities as VIP, but includes an exclusive viewing area at all 3 stages, just in front of VIP viewing. Returning premium ticket types include GA+, VIP and Cabanas for both 1-Day and 3-Days.
