Over the last few months, I’ve written about a couple of releases from the Mojave Desert-based filmmaker, classically trained pianist and electronic music artist, Elizabeth Ann Clark, who writes, performs and records under the moniker of VIRGO. And after the release of the first singles under the VIRGO project, some of my fellow bloggers have compared her sound to the likes of GrimesLittle Dragon, CHVRCHES and others.

Interestingly, “Virgo” Clark’s latest single reminds me quite a bit of Soft Metals’ impressive Lenses and of the legendary Giorgio Moroder, as the song is comprised of layers of undulating and propulsive synths, skittering percussion and Clark’s ethereal coo. And in fact, much like Lenses, “Virgo” may arguably be the most sensual song Clark has released to date.
