Today is the 24th day of Black History Month. As we go through the month, I’m going to talk about a collection of Black artists. It’ll be fairly comprehensive and eclectic list — although it won’t be a complete list.

Ella Fitzgerald is arguably one of the greatest and most influential voices ever. And she made it look elegant and easy, y’all. Fitzgerald’s influential on modern vocalists across almost all genres and styles of music is towering — and we should celebrate that constantly.
