Throwback: Black History Month: Erykah Badu

Today is the 25th day of Black History Month. As we go through the month, I’m going to talk about a collection of Black artists. It’ll be fairly comprehensive and eclectic list — although it won’t be a complete list.

So far I’ve talked about:

Erykah Badu is one of the most dynamic and mesmerizing artists I’ve ever seen live. If y’all haven’t seen this sister live, you need to do whatever you have to see her. I mean it.

Bad is also arguably one of the most original and uncompromising artists of her day. No one sounds quite like her and no one ever will.
