- Ozzy Osbourne celebrated his 75th birthday on December 3
- Montell Jordan celebrated his 55th birthday on December 3
- Jay-Z celebrated his 54th birthday on December 4
- The 90th anniversary of Little Richard‘s birth was on December 5
- R.E.M co-founder and lead guitarist Peter Buck celebrated his 67th birthday on December 6
Today is also a rather auspicious day:
- The 80th anniversary of The Doors‘ Jim Morrison is today.
I’m a huge Yeah Yeah Yeahs fan. And I got my mom into them many years ago. We were thrilled to finally catch them live last year at Forest Hills Stadium. (True story, the band’s Nick Zinner shared one of my iPhone pictures of that show on his Instagram. I was floored by that because he’s a remarkably talented photographer.)
Today, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ guitarist Nick Zinner celebrates his 49th birthday. Happy birthday, Nick! May there be many, many, many more!
