- The 87th anniversary of Lee “Scratch” Perry’s birth was on March 20
- Large Professor celebrated his 51st birthday on March 21
- DJ Premier, one of hip-hop’s greatest and most beloved producers celebrated his 57th birthday on March 22
Blur frontman and Gorillaz creative mastermind Damon Albarn turns 55 — 55! — today. Throughout his career Albarn has proven to be an eclectic, forward-thinking, genre-defying and genre-mashing artist — especially with Gorillaz, who I’ve loved since their first album.
Gorillaz has been a major part of my life’s soundtrack and because of that I wanted to celebrate another fellow Aries today. Happy birthday, Damon! May there be many, many more!
