The great Mark Lanegan was born 60 years ago today. I was extremely lucky to have caught him twice and was thrilled to see him because I adored his solo work, his work with Queens of the Stone Age and his work with Screaming Trees, an act that should have been much bigger than what they were. 

Of course, if you really love Lanegan, you also love his work with The Afghan Whigs‘ Greg Dulli in The Gutter Twins and The Twilight Singers.
