Interestingly enough, as it turns out, December is pretty auspicious in music history:
- The 89th anniversary of Little Richard’s birth was on December 6
- R.E.M.’s Peter Buck celebrated his 66th birthday on December 6
- Yasiin Bey/Mos Def celebrated his 49th birthday on December 11
I learned that The Time’s Morris Day turns 65 today. As a kid, I fucking The Time. I loved the Ice Cream Castles album — and even listening to songs then bring back a lot of fond memories.
