June is another very busy month for music birthdays:

- The Rolling Stones‘ Charlie Watts was born 83 years ago on June 2
One of the greatest singer/songwriters to ever live, Curtis Mayfield was born on this day 82 years ago. While most know him for his incredible Superfly soundtrack, his work was the soundtrack of the Civil Rights Movement. How many people can say that?
So let’s celebrate some of the most memorable, greatest songs ever recorded — and the man who wrote them. Happy birthday, Curtis. Happy birthday, wherever you are!
