Throwback: Happy 92nd Birthday, Lou Rawls!

2025 is almost over. Let’s work towards making 2026 a much calmer and much better year for all of us.

But in the meantime, December is a busy month for music birthdays, y’all.

• The Doors‘ John Densmore celebrates his 81st birthday today

The legendary Lou Rawls was born on this day 92 years ago. He’s best known for his smash-hit, 1976’s “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine,” and for the Lou Rawls Parade of Stars Telethon, which benefited the United Negro College Fund — and for that velvety vocal. 

Happy birthday, Lou! Happy birthday, wherever you are!
