September 10th will mark the release of Factory Floor’s DFA Records self-titled debut. “Turn It Up,” the first single off the debut effort is a somewhat sparse bit of house music – it’s a song rendered to it’s essential parts: propulsive and extremely propulsive drum and bass, explosively hot flashes of cymbal, and vocals seemingly coming in and out of the fog. The track is a club banger that sounds as though it could have been recorded and played in a nightclub back in 1988, although it was recorded and released in 2013.
