MTV was launched 42 years ago today. As a child of the 80s, who spent countless hours watching the channel, its first two decades or so were a cultural phenomenon that hasn’t been seen since. Now, if you truly know your music history and trivia, you might recall that in the States, the first video that MTV aired was The Buggles “Video Killed The Radio Star.”
