Today continues a rather auspicious week of music birthdays: First, the legendary John Fogerty celebrates his 78th birthday today. Unless you’ve come out from under a rock or you’re related to Rip Van Winkle, you’re familiar with Fogerty and his work with Credence Clearwater Revival. His songs have appeared in countless movies and TV shows set in the 60s, and they’ve been covered endlessly.
Fogerty’s influence has been towering. So let’s give our legends their flowers while we still have them, right? Happy birthday, John! May there be many, many many more!
