- Donald Fagen’s birthday was on the tenth
- Zack de la Rocha and Raekwon’s birthdays were on the twelfth
- LL Cool J, Dave Grohl and Allen Toussaint all had birthdays on the fourteenth
- Sade and Aaliyah were on the sixteenth
- The Temptations‘ David Ruffin‘s birthday was on the eighteenth
January 19th is a rather busy day in music history: First, the legendary https://janisjoplin.comJanis Joplin, who left us far too young, would have turned 79 today. And although she lived such a short life, her influence on pop music and rock ‘n’ roll has remained towering. I mean goodness, that voice, y’all.
