Living Colour‘s powerhouse frontman Corey Glover celebrated his 59th birthday on Monday, November 6, 2023. As I’ve mentioned a number of times on this site: As a music obsessed, young Black boy, Living Colour was a revelation. To see men, who looked like me and others from my neighborhood, who had members, who grew up in Queens, meant the world to me. Yes, representation does matter. I’m not sure if JOVM would exist as it does without Living Color.
Happy belated birthday, Corey. Thank you for being part of music that meant the world for me and changed my life. May there be many, many, many more!
