Jody Watley, one of the most commercially successful dance pop artists ever celebrates her 67th birthday today. As a member of Shalamar, she landed a number of chart-topping hits in the States and the UK — and as a solo artist, she won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1988 and earned three more Grammy Award nominations. 

If you came of age at any point between the 1970s and 1990s, you danced to her countless hits, I guarantee you.
