Yesterday was Phil Collins 70th birthday. Yes, 70! Now, if you’re a child of the 80s like me, Collins’ solo work and his work with Genesis was a part of your childhood. I can remember a couple of my classmates serenading my third grade teacher with an acapella version of “In The Air Tonight.” (In retrospect, that was kind of odd.).
Interestingly, Collins is one of three men to sell over 100 million albums as a solo artist and as member of a band — the other two: Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney. An impressive group if you ask me. Anyway, happy 70th Phil!
