Throwback: Happy 81st Birthday, John Fogerty!

Welp, we’ve made it to May y’all. This year has been yet another infuriating, soul-crushingly brutal slog. I’m furious and exhausted. And if you have a conscience and a soul, you feel the same. There isn’t an easy way out of this hell. 

But there’s music, art, small pleasures, and every day joys. We’ll cling to that as much as possible in between fighting for the rights and futures for our loved ones — and ourselves.

The legendary John Fogerty celebrates his 81st birthday today. Unless you’ve come out from under a rock or you’re related to Rip Van Winkle, you’re familiar with Fogerty and his work with Credence Clearwater Revival. His songs have appeared in countless movies and TV shows set in the 60s, and they’ve been covered endlessly. 

Fogerty’s influence has been towering. So let’s give our legends their flowers while we still have them, right? Happy birthday, John! May there be many, many, many more!
