The Monkees‘ Micheal Nesmith was born 83 years ago today. And his bandmate Davy Jones was born 80 years ago today. As a child of the ’80s, I grew up watching The Monkees repeats on Nickelodeon. The reruns were so popular that the three of the band’s original four members recorded a comeback album in the mid 80s that was kind of a big deal; I remember seeing a video or two on MTV. 

Happy birthday, Mike! Happy birthday, Davy! Happy birthday to the both of you, wherever you are!
