Throwback: R.I.P. Tina Turner

I was working on another post and texting with a buddy when I learned of Tina Turner‘s death. People die. That’s what they do. But with Tina Turner, I just didn’t think it would be possible for her to die. So here we are. It’s real and it’s terribly sad because we lost an icon, whose influence on popular music has been towering. I don’t think a Janet Jackson, a Beyoncé, a Solange or a Janelle Monáe and a lengthy list of others would even be possible without Tina. They stand on the shoulders of a giant.

We will be forever be grateful for Tina. Long live Tina Turner!
