The wildly talented and breathtakingly beautiful Vanessa Williams celebrates her 62nd birthday today. Her debut studio album, 1988’s The Right Stuff saw some success with its album title track and “Dreamin,'” which peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Her sophomore album, 1991’s The Comfort Zone and 1994’s The Sweetest Days saw massive commercial success while receiving multiple Grammy Award nominations, including her number one single and signature song “Save The Best for Last”
As an actor, she has worked on Broadway, on the silver screen and on TV with a number of truly memorable roles — including on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty and many more.
And to be frank, along with Janet Jackson, Vanessa Williams may be one of my most unrequited crushes ever. Can you blame me?
Happy birthday, Ms. Williams! May there be many, many more!
